Comfort of Strangers

The new Beth Orton album, 'Comfort of Strangers', is in stores on February 7th, 2006. The 14-track album was recorded at New York's Sear Sound studio in the spring of 2005, with the much-acclaimed musician and composer Jim O'Rourke as producer. O'Rourke -- most recently guitarist and bass player with Sonic Youth -- has previously worked on recordings by such diverse groups and artists as Wilco, Stereolab and the noted American guitarist John Fahey.
